Join Britain's Biggest Thank You To Veterans

The Armed Forces Pledge is a simple way to show that their service and sacrifice are seen, valued and remembered.

More than 1.8 million veterans live in the UK, alongside serving personnel and their families. From National Service and Northern Ireland to the Falklands, Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan, generations have served our country. The Armed Forces Pledge is our way of bringing people across Britain together to say thank you - and to show that their service has not been forgotten.

Your pledge matters.

Add your name, add an optional message, and show the Armed Forces community that Britain is still with them.

Visiting the 2022 Invictus games in nearby the Hague in the Netherlands was another eye opener for continued support of related activities elsewhere. Thanks to every generation contributing to a positive outcome in difficult situations.

The British Armed Forces are a significant pillar of our national pride and for me the defacto global standard of military excellence. Those souls who serve and have served our country with dignity, proffesionalism, courage, honour and resilience all hold a special place in our hearts. I commend their bravery and willingness to stand up and be counted and protect us all from whatever tyrany may approach. Their devotion and selfless commitment should always demand the nations respect and continued support.

As a veteran myself, I will always stand with immense pride beside every man and woman who has served.

We honour the courage of those who answered the call, the sacrifices made by those who served, and the families who carried their own burdens while their loved ones were away.

Some gave years of their lives. Some returned carrying wounds that could not always be seen. And some made the ultimate sacrifice, never to return home.

Their service, courage and sacrifice deserve our deepest respect and gratitude.

To all who have served, and to those who gave everything, Your service matters. Your sacrifice matters.

    Lest we forget.

I photographed this patch with permission from the Rolling Thunder Vet who owned the bike. To me, it says everything.

Veterans treated appallingly despite their sacrifice. Even being investigated for past affairs.

I cannot even begin to imagine what you go through in times of battle. My father was a young radio officer in the Dutch Royal Naval Airforce stationed in Swindon,Kent all those years ago. At one time his was the only plane in his squadron to return, battered , to base . Young men and women have sacrificed so very much and deserve so much more in terms of support, respect and post service care. We salute you

A big thanks for those who have served. And for those who still serve to keep us all safe. Especially those who have made the ultimate sacrifices . We will remember.
