Join Britain's Biggest Thank You To Veterans

The Armed Forces Pledge is a simple way to show that their service and sacrifice are seen, valued and remembered.

More than 1.8 million veterans live in the UK, alongside serving personnel and their families. From National Service and Northern Ireland to the Falklands, Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan, generations have served our country. The Armed Forces Pledge is our way of bringing people across Britain together to say thank you - and to show that their service has not been forgotten.

Your pledge matters.

Add your name, add an optional message, and show the Armed Forces community that Britain is still with them.

My son was in 42 Commando and did a tour in Afghanistan. It was the most difficult time of my life wondering if he would return in a box. Thankfully he came back unscathed but it made me realise how real war is and the dangers associated with it.

I will always support the veterans foundation until I die.👏👏❤️

To all who have gone before and will in the future raise their right hand and take the oath, every one of you is special and should be better cared for and protected by the government.

I have the utmost respect to those that serve.

I feel that the armed forces have been seriously let down by successive governments with cutbacks and possible prosecutions.

I personally would not enlist now.

I applied to join the navy at 16, 53 years ago but had to wait 5 months for an artificers apprenticeship. Instead I got a boat building apprenticeship.

Many a time I wish I had joined up.
