Join Britain's Biggest Thank You To Veterans

The Armed Forces Pledge is a simple way to show that their service and sacrifice are seen, valued and remembered.

More than 1.8 million veterans live in the UK, alongside serving personnel and their families. From National Service and Northern Ireland to the Falklands, Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan, generations have served our country. The Armed Forces Pledge is our way of bringing people across Britain together to say thank you - and to show that their service has not been forgotten.

Your pledge matters.

Add your name, add an optional message, and show the Armed Forces community that Britain is still with them.

I served in the Royal Navy for 24 years (1985 to 2009). I was lucky enough never to get seriously injured, but I stand by those who have!

Between 1941 and 1945 my father travelled from Casablanca to Austria via Salerno and Anzio. He was a volunteer who did his bit putting himself in harm’s way to defeat a totalitarian nastiness. All veterans have done the same, doing the dangerous unpleasant things so the rest of us don’t have to.

    Great initiative. It’s sorely needed.

Kipling’s words still sadly hold true:

    O it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ Throw ‘im out the brute;

But it’s “Thank you, Mister Atkins”, when the guns begin to shoot.

Hero’s, every single one. The Men in my family all served, as far back as we can trace. Respect.

Help is not always what it seems some people think they are listening to you but they don’t hear what you say. I’ve found this out when I was a member of the RBL and RAFA it seemed that if you are not Amry they didn’t care with the RAFA if you were not an NCO you could sit and suck it so I’m no longer a member.

I have never served myself but seen the affect it had on school friends after the Falklands conflict.

The sacrifice and dedication which shows continuously from our armed forces is heroic by anyone’s standards.

When these heroes return home injured physically or mentally I am proud to be able to support them with a small donation every month.

The veterans association is doing incredible work to support these heroes.

    God bless you all.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the service that you do. For the sacrifices that have been made and for the silent sacrifices that veterans are trying to cope and contend with on a daily basis.

My husband’s uncle served in WWII and his young life of 18 was taken from him. He lies in Normandy in Tilly-sur-Suelles cemetery. We visit and we thank him and all the others who’s lost their lives.

So a very big thank you to each and everyone of you. I am so very proud of you all and I’m grateful for everything that you have done for your country and its people. His bless you all 🌺
