Join Britain's Biggest Thank You To Veterans

The Armed Forces Pledge is a simple way to show that their service and sacrifice are seen, valued and remembered.

More than 1.8 million veterans live in the UK, alongside serving personnel and their families. From National Service and Northern Ireland to the Falklands, Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan, generations have served our country. The Armed Forces Pledge is our way of bringing people across Britain together to say thank you - and to show that their service has not been forgotten.

Your pledge matters.

Add your name, add an optional message, and show the Armed Forces community that Britain is still with them.

I served with the Parachute Regiment, 2 PARA, and I am proud to call myself a veteran. I remain immensely proud of our Armed Forces community and of the men and women who have served, and continue to serve, our country.

But supporting our veterans should also mean being prepared to speak up when they are being let down. I am not proud of the way veterans can be treated or made to feel like scapegoats after giving so much in service. Nor am I confident about the direction in which our Armed Forces are being taken for the future.

My pledge is therefore a simple one: to stand by those who served, to remember those we lost, and to support the veterans and serving personnel who deserve far more than words of thanks.

Proud to have served. Proud to be a veteran. Proud of our Armed Forces community.

The general population too often needs to be reminded of the service and sacrifices made by our armed forces that allow us to live ( for the most part) the lives we choose

Just “Thank you” doesn’t say it. I admire and stand with you. My father served as a medic in WW2 and also didn’t have any backup and came back a changed man. There should be so much more help available to ex service personnel who have experienced the horrors of warfare
