Join Britain's Biggest Thank You To Veterans

The Armed Forces Pledge is a simple way to show that their service and sacrifice are seen, valued and remembered.

More than 1.8 million veterans live in the UK, alongside serving personnel and their families. From National Service and Northern Ireland to the Falklands, Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan, generations have served our country. The Armed Forces Pledge is our way of bringing people across Britain together to say thank you - and to show that their service has not been forgotten.

Your pledge matters.

Add your name, add an optional message, and show the Armed Forces community that Britain is still with them.

A lot like myself wonder why we bothered. The government wrecked the country we served and loved became an ex pat. Now the youth are moving out. And the government hope what’s left of our armed services will quell the unrest they have created. I hope they follow the example Napoleon did and direct them at the dross in parliament. One can only hope dream.

I was a service mans daughter and then a wife, now widowed. Where dad went we went, all I ever knew was being part of the forces family. Now in civi street, sometimes I feel like a ‘duck out of water’. I do appreciate all that our armed forces did and do. It was an amazing life following dad and then being married. I’m behind you all.

I was born in 1939. I would not be here but for men of the armed forces just like you. I know we need you now to continue to protect us civilians. Thank you for your service.
