Join Britain's Biggest Thank You To Veterans

Veterans have risked their lives, lost friends, and paid a price for their service that most of us will never understand.

For some, when the uniform comes off, the battle continues – from living with life-changing injuries or the mental toll of service to finding work, keeping a roof over their heads or making ends meet.

Sign the Pledge and tell them: we see what you sacrificed, we value your service and we haven't forgotten you.

Add your name, leave an optional message, and show the Armed Forces community that we're still with them.

Coming from a service family I totally get it.

However civvies don’t have a clue.

But I thank you for your service and your sacrifices from the bottom of my heart.

For decades I thought our armed forces have not been treated right, particularly when leaving/being discharged. I met a young, dishevelled man about 20 years ago whilst visiting a grave yard. He was the worse for drink and so sad. He said he missed his friends whom he had lost whilst on tour and beyond. I thought then that there should be care in place to help him and others like him deal with what he had gone through and what he had witnessed. Thankfully now there are charities in place but surely the government should stand up to the line and do what’s morally and professionally right.

I was recently in a relationship with an ex Marine who struggled with CPTSD which unfortunately came between us, even after 20+ years he was still affected. Thankfully he reached out and received help from an armed forces charity.

Yours and other charities are so important and I support you and others in my own small way. Thank you.
