Thank you one and all for your outstanding bravery and loyalty defending our country.

I was a child of a serving sergeant at the time posted in Germany. I remember feeling horrified at the thought of war, hearing about all who were lost. I also remember and still feel deeply proud of everyone.

Each of those who served, I thought about the wives, partners, children and families waiting anxiously for your return.

Thank you for all you gave to protect us.

For all of the fallen and their families,we will remember them!

To all who have served in Britain’s Armed Forces, past and present, I offer my deepest respect and gratitude. Your courage, loyalty and devotion to duty deserve our enduring recognition. The sacrifices made by you and your families must never be forgotten. Whether serving at home or overseas, you have stood in defence of your country and its people. We owe our veterans more than words of appreciation; we owe them our continued support, dignity and care. Your service will always be remembered, your sacrifices will never be forgotten, and Britain must always stand by those who stood for her.
