From the Second World War and National Service to the Falklands, Iraq and Afghanistan, generations have served and sacrificed for our country. For some, the consequences of service last a lifetime.

I am more than happy to sign. 12 years in the Royal Navy (1969-1981). Three tours of Northern Ireland (Granada Patrol) and stood off of Saigon in 1975 during the US pull out of Vietnam, waiting to take on those who were evacuating the embassy (in the end we weren’t needed!) And none of that is even close to what our boys and girls have been doing, and going through, in the Middle East in the last 30 odd years. Respect to you all!

I’m 100% with veterans. All the money going to immigrants and foreign aid MUST go to the veterans. Governments that refuse this are traitors to the British public

I missed conscription after WW2 if not by a lot and often wondered if i would have had the guts to serve and fight and kill and die for my country if it became necessary. Thankfully i was never to be tested but salute all those who did and are keeping our country safe.
