Join Britain's Biggest Thank You To Veterans

The Armed Forces Pledge is a simple way to show that their service and sacrifice are seen, valued and remembered.

More than 1.8 million veterans live in the UK, alongside serving personnel and their families. From National Service and Northern Ireland to the Falklands, Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan, generations have served our country. The Armed Forces Pledge is our way of bringing people across Britain together to say thank you - and to show that their service has not been forgotten.

Your pledge matters.

Add your name, add an optional message, and show the Armed Forces community that Britain is still with them.

For generations ex armed forces veterans have been left to suffer with no genuine exit strategy. Let’s hope it stops now. Not one should be left alone to suffer and certainly none of them should be homeless.

Thank you to all service personnel past and present. Our government should be supporting our armed forces 100% whilst they serve and when they leave the service. Respect to them all.

I published a poem after a visit to the cenotaph, sent to the USA poetry competition and it won first prize. Thought you would like to read it:-
    THE MEETING PLACE
    Multi/hued and garlanded chests,

    Reaching upwards, outwards, taller, broader.

Engulfed in pride of brothers and sisters,

Standing in the wet and cold.

Heads held high while tears fell,

As buglers played the soft lament.

Marching feet the old and bold,

    Saluting courage past with glory.

    Ever closer to our meeting,

In the place where we must go.

    Unafraid the burning pain,

    Sure of greetings once again.

    Rejoining comrades omnipresent,

Gazing down on those stood there.

    Time and tribute not forgotten,

Boundless pride in those to come.
