We also need support now. We are fighting for recognition of 543Sqdn, 27Sqdn and ships in the Pacific who were on “snifter” work.
Collecting radio active material for HM Government. The Collection of this material was from 1960’s to 1980’s. We want the ground crews and aircrew left In UK to be recognised. The aircraft were highly radio active on return to UK.
No protective clothing was ever issued, either on detachment or back at base. Many have died or had problems including myself.
