Patrick Keating signed Armed Forces Pledge 2026-10-05 09:28:21 +0100Joined as a “Junior Bleeder” aged barely 16 and after the initial shock to the system of the “brutal” training I learnt a valuable trade as Staff Clerk – “Shiny Arse” – but always a soldier first! I served in many cushy Headquarters, home and abroad and can honestly it was the best part of my life. I left as as a Warrant Officer 2 and the pension very generous!
