Elizabeth Jackson signed Armed Forces Pledge 2026-10-10 11:16:09 +0100As a veteran I appreciate all that those outside of government do. As a retired QA, civilian nurse and midwife I’m ashamed of the lack of armed forces support that is available in this country. Once you join the forces you have a second family and it’s that family’s support and understanding that today’s veterans are missing out on.
Join Britain's Biggest Thank You To Veterans
The Armed Forces Pledge is a simple way to show that their service and sacrifice are seen, valued and remembered.
More than 1.8 million veterans live in the UK, alongside serving personnel and their families. From National Service and Northern Ireland to the Falklands, Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan, generations have served our country. The Armed Forces Pledge is our way of bringing people across Britain together to say thank you - and to show that their service has not been forgotten.
