The Armed Forces Pledge is a simple way to show that their service and sacrifice are seen, valued and remembered.

More than 1.8 million veterans live in the UK, alongside serving personnel and their families. From National Service and Northern Ireland to the Falklands, Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan, generations have served our country. The Armed Forces Pledge is our way of bringing people across Britain together to say thank you - and to show that their service has not been forgotten.

    I love our armed forces – while they are tough and hard, they are caring and instil confidence in those they are helping and fighting for. They are the best in the world by far. Thank you for protecting us and fighting for democracy, peace and providing humanitarian help. A special thank you to those who are living with physical and mental injuries as a result of serving their country.

    I believe that all UK citizens owe our veterans, and serving personnel, the greatest of gratitude for all that they have done/do for the UK. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your commitment and sacrifice. Without the sacrificies made by your communities we would not have the freedoms we all have today in the UK. All of our service people and veterans deserve to have the highest level of health care and be at the top of the list for all welfare services. ZERO veterans should be homeless or left to suffer alone. We must step up as a country and provide the highest levels of care and attention to our veterans to thank them for everything they have done/do for our country.

    I was never a member of the armed forces, my father was in the RAF in WW2 and I admire and respect all who are in the forces and always will. Never forgotten.
