Join Britain's Biggest Thank You To Veterans

The Armed Forces Pledge is a simple way to show that their service and sacrifice are seen, valued and remembered.

More than 1.8 million veterans live in the UK, alongside serving personnel and their families. From National Service and Northern Ireland to the Falklands, Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan, generations have served our country. The Armed Forces Pledge is our way of bringing people across Britain together to say thank you - and to show that their service has not been forgotten.

Your pledge matters.

Add your name, add an optional message, and show the Armed Forces community that Britain is still with them.

No member of the armed forces should have to doubt the support of their fellow country men and women. Thanks for all that have and are doing.

Both my grandfathers fought in ww1, thankfully they both both came home, both my mother and father served in ww11, thankfully they both came home too.. on my fathers side is a long line of service personnel, mostly from the East Kent Regiment out of Cheriton and Folkestone.. of all on my fathers side we didn’t lose any, the closest call is my uncle Bert, he was torpedoed twice and amazingly survived! he married a French girl and settled in Folkestone after the hostilities ceased… on my mothers side her brother, my uncle Austin, served with the paras.. my uncle Jack was hit in the lung on the beaches of Normandy and was pensioned off… We were so lucky to have survivors from both wars and I am eternally grateful for their service.. some haven’t been so lucky..
